What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

NICU FAMILY VIRTUAL SUPPORT OPPORTUNITY
Join MJ, our graduate NICU mom volunteer, on the first Thursday of each month at 8:30 pm for a casual, open zoom meeting for all past, current or expecting NICU families. This is an opportunity for a safe, encouraging place to speak (or just listen in) with other NICU parents who get what you are going or have gone through.
Dates for 2022 virtual meetings are: Jan 6th, Feb 3rd, March 3rd, April 7th, May 5th, June 2nd, July 7th, August 4th, Sept 1st, Oct 6th, Nov 3rd, & Dec 1st. All meetings begin at 5:30pm EST and last about an hour but you can join and leave as you need!
Facebook LIVE Peer Support Opportunity
On the third Tuesday of each month, one of our graduate NICU parent volunteers starts a Facebook Live from our Early Bird Foundation, Inc. Facebook page. In this LIVE, our volunteer shares some of their own story as well as discusses some of their answers to our monthly NICU Parent Support topic questions that are posted for families to think on and share their own responses. These LIVEs are an opportunity to get the support and hear from others without the pressure of a meeting. We encourage you to share your answers in the comments when you are ready so that others in the future can get the support that you may be able to give from sharing your story.

Family Specific Needs Assistance Program
Our Family Specific Needs Assistance Program is designed to help ease the burden of the extra financial strains that a NICU stay puts on families. All families with a baby currently in a Kentucky NICU or discharged from Kentucky NICU within the last 3 months are eligible to apply.
Once you have submitted an application, you will receive a follow up email with more detailed information about the process. We require a short phone call meeting prior to processing any applications further to our review board. Our review board makes decisions based on each individual situation.

NICU Family Care Package Delivery Program
NICU Family care package delivery is available to families currently in the NICU. Upon request by a the NICU family themselves or a family member or close friend through our care package request form, an EBF team member will reach out to the family and set up a time to deliver the care package to the hospital for them. If baby is in a Kentucky NICU to which we don’t currently deliver, a care package can be mailed directly to the family’s home address.
Our care packages include: a NICU themed storybook to encourage bonding through reading, a preemie or newborn outfit for baby, travel size toiletries, grab n go snacks and a $25 Visa gift card. Other items may be included as they are available.
